Welcome to Han-Ney Equestrian Center Blog!

We are an equine spa and training center located in Minnesota where the demand for these facilities is high and the availability is low. We offer expert care and knowledge in rehabilitating injured and sick horses and exercising and training barrel horses with an emphasis on horsemanship. We offer a broad range of services in the equine spa portion of the business including treadmills, lasers, magnetic and thermal therapies, walkers, and swimming sessions to name a few of the many available options. Training involves an approach that focuses on horsemanship and the well-being of the horse that so many trainers forget as well as hauling and campaigning the horses to help them create a name for themselves. My background in horsemanship and proper horse care along with my experience barrel racing really strengthen the training portion of the business and I will wholeheartedly put my passion into the business.

The facility includes a few different buildings but the two main ones are the equine spa and the 400 x 130-foot main barn. The equine spa houses a large 6 horse walker, a swimming pool, aqua treadmill, boarding stalls for sick, injured, or post-op horses and 24-hour video surveillance. The main barn includes a heated and cooled arena, 250 10 x 12-foot event stalls, wash stalls, and an 80-foot round pen, and an outdoor arena just outside the building.

  1. everything seems fine. the only thing I would change is the color of the "home" and the "about our company" tabs on top, they blend in with the background image and they become hard to see.

  2. Hi Hannah!
This is a great start to your blog for sure! Your company name is clear and easy to read at the top of the page, but I would maybe think about changing the color of the text because it doesn't match the blue of your logo.
One thing that I noticed on both posts is that you indented the paragraphs. Laurie said that we don't indent the paragraphs, so I would just change that so none of the paragraphs are indented. The header size is great and look proportionate to the rest of the page's text and images. The brown text on the Welcome page and tab at the top is a bit hard to read because it kind of blends into the background image. Along with that, the disclaimer is a bit hard to read also because of the text color on the background image. With that being said, I LOVE the background image! It definitely looks like a horse trail to go riding on. Great start Hannah!

  3. Brett gave strong feedback and I agree with her.

First, and foremost, unbold all of your text except the headings. It's too loud.

Excellent detail about your facility. The only aspect I'm missing is your passion and connection to the equine industry.
